Complete story — includes the ending

As her trial nears, Bree develops feelings for Trip. Lynette and Susan are shocked by Gabrielle's nonchalant attitude towards the trial, before it finally dawns on Gabrielle that Bree might take the fall for Carlos. After Tom tells Lynette he will miss her, Lynette convinces Gregg not to send Tom to India before ending things with Gregg, who becomes furious. When Gregg badmouths Lynette at work, Tom punches him and is fired. Jane breaks up with Tom after he admits he still loves Lynette. When Tom goes to Lynette's house, he sees a man (Lee) helping take her dress off and leaves, believing that she has moved on. With Porter working multiple jobs to provide for his unborn daughter, Susan offers to move with Julie and help raise the baby so Julie can finish her PhD degree. At the trial, Bree is painted as a promiscuous alcoholic, but Susan, Lynette, and Gabrielle all testify that Bree did not kill Alejandro. Trip discovers that Alejandro was Gabrielle's stepfather and urges Bree to tell the truth about Gabrielle, but Bree refuses to betray her friends.
