Complete story — includes the ending

After seeing Tom and Jane kissing at work, Lynette accepts a date from Tom's boss, Gregg. Lynette is happy when Gregg causes friction between Tom and Jane by giving him more work, until Gregg announces plans to send Tom to India for a year. Gabrielle is hired by Doris, a wealthy elderly widow, as her personal shopper, but Doris returns her purchases after Carlos convinces her to donate to his charity helping recovering addicts. Gabrielle retaliates by redesigning Carlos's office with opulent decorations, leading Doris to think he is a swindler and leave. When M.J. rejects Susan's efforts to help him build a car for the school's father–son soapbox derby, she enlists Tom, Ben, Bob, and Lee to help M.J. instead. Renee discovers that Ben is on the witness list for Bree's trial, demanding that he tell her the truth about the dead body found at his construction site after their wedding. Trip convinces Bree to open up about her alcohol-fueled promiscuous phase. Despite warnings from her friends, Bree agrees to go to dinner with Trip.
