Meanwhile, Jack becomes inflicted with bedbugs which results in him getting ostracized by everyone at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Feeling passionate, Jack tells Liz to give everyone a chance to audition, after catching her trying to eliminate people from the audition process. After the auditions are over, Liz learns that the actor she wanted on the show faked his credentials. She discovers that his references— Gilbert Gottfried, Martin Scorsese, and Christopher Walken —were not legitimate and that he impersonated them. Liz tries to stop Jack from hiring him, but instead Jack hires a robot street performer.
